Download and install the official T350XXU1BPE3 (firmware version XXU1BPE3) Android 6.0.1 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350. The firmware is officially released by Samsung for the model T350. How to install T350XXU1BPE3 Android 6.0.1 Lollipop firmware on SM-T350:

There are several ways by which one can upgrade their firmware such as OTA - Over the Air (required stable internet connection, directly from your device), using Samsung Kies software (also required stable internet connection, using computer) and manual installation using Odin utility which we are going to discuss here. For manual installation, you need to download the firmware and Odin software manually. We will show computer Odin to flash the firmware.

Important info before proceed:

1) This firmware is only for the model SM-T350, check your model once again before installation

2) Do it at your own risk, we are not responsible if anything happen to your device after following this guide.

3) Your device should have sufficient battery power (at least 50% to 60%) 

4) Check whether the USB Debugging mode is turned on, go to Settings-General-Developer Options (As the Developer options are hidden by default on all Android device running on Android 4.2 or up, So go to Settings-General-About on your Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and tap Build Number for 7 times to visible the Developer options.) See the image below.

5) Backup or copy important data (photos, videos, notes) and settings to external storage (in case you lost after installation]

6) Install USB driver for your device on your PC/Laptop- Download Samsung USB Driver

If you done with all the above instructions, then follow the steps to update T350XXU1BPE3 Android 6.0.1 Lollipop firmware on Galaxy Tab A 8.0 T350: 

1) Download T350XXU1BPE3 6.0.1 Lollipop firmware zip file for your country and unzip/extract the zip to get the firmware file with .tar.md5 extension. 

2) Download latest Odin utility for your PC/Laptop from here (or search Google for Odin download)

3) Completely switch off your device and press and hold the Volume Down+Power buttons together to boot in to Download Mode (long press until the boot screen appear) and after that press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.

4) Now run the Odin3 .exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)

5) Now connect your Galaxy Tab A 8.0 T350 to your computer via USB cable

6) In Odin3 screen, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COM4]” at ID:COM section at top left side and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.

7) In Odin screen, under Options tab, make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked, no other option should checked.

8) Now, click on AP button and select the firmware file with .tar.md5 extension (The firmware file look something like: T350XXEMH4_T350ODDEMK1_T350DDEMG2_HOME.tar.md5)

9) Finally, click on the Start button to begin the installation process, wait few moments, it may take approximately 4 to 10 minutes to complete.

10) Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background

11) Your device should automatically reboot after completion

12) You can now disconnect your device from computer by removing the USB cable 

13) You are done, check your Settings-About Phone to see the details of the latest updated firmware.

Troubleshooting! Fix Bootloop on Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350

It may happens that, your device may stuck at booting screen. If your Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350 fail to start or restart frequently or stuck at boot animation screen for more than 10 minutes, then follow these instructions:
  • Remove the battery and place it again. Go to Recovery Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up+Power buttons together (long press until something appears on the screen).
  • Now, perform Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting the reboot system now option. In Recovery Mode use the Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select any option.
